Welcome to the 12th annual Liverpool Warrior Slamfest!
This tournament is put on by the Liverpool Girls Basketball Booster Club and is the primary fundraiser for the state ranked Liverpool Girls Basketball team. We truly appreciate your support!
We are using Scorbot to manage the tournament so you will receive a text message with links to your schedule once published. *NO CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE WILL BE MADE ONCE PUBLISHED. We did our best to accommodate all requests prior to publishing.
Facilities:
All games will be held at Liverpool Central Schools facilities. Schools are located within 5 miles of each other.
Liverpool High School: 4338 Wetzel Rd, Liverpool, NY 13090 (2 courts)
Morgan Road Middle School (formerly Annex): 4340 Wetzel Rd, Liverpool, NY 13090
Soule Road Middle School: 8340 Soule Rd. Liverpool, NY 13090
Liverpool Middle School: 720 7th St, Liverpool, NY 13088
Chestnut Hill Middle School: 204 Saslon Park Dr, Liverpool, NY 13088
Admissions:
Adult: $20 weekend pass
Children: 5-10 years $5.00 (4 and under free)
*You must keep your pass for both days or you will need to repurchase. We are not responsible for lost passes.
**Every admission receives a free raffle ticket for a Blackstone grill. Extra tickets will be on sale for $5 each.
***Each team will receive 2 complimentary coaches’ wristbands.
Tournament T-Shirts and Concessions:
T-Shirts are available for purchase for $25.00. They go fast so get them early!
Concessions will be available at each site. Water, sport drinks, candy, pizza, and chips.
Rules:
Games are two 20 minute running time halves. Clock ONLY stops on timeouts and in the last 2 minutes of each half on all whistles.
20-point lead or more clock runs until the lead is 19 or less.
Overtime will be 2 minutes. Second overtime, if needed, will be sudden victory.
Warmups and half-time are 2 minutes.
10-second backcourt rule is in effect.
Three-point shots count in all levels.
4th Grade Only: Man to man defense only, no press until the last 2 minutes of each half.
5th Grade and Older: All defenses are allowed.
Timeouts: 2 total per team for each game.
Fouls: 5 per player; 7 team fouls is 1 & 1; 10 team fouls 2 shots for Boys & Girls
Games may start early. Teams should be on-site and ready to play 30 minutes prior to scheduled time.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. All coaches, players and spectators will abide by the decision of the referees and/or site managers. Any person ejected from a game (player, coach or spectator) will NOT be allowed back during the tournament. Any player or coach receiving two technical fouls will be ejected from the rest of the tournament. Referee rulings are final.
Team responsibilities:
Home team (listed first on schedule) will supply a scorekeeper. Guest team (listed second on schedule) will supply a clock keeper.
Each team must have their own warmup balls.
Ref will select the game ball.
Home team is listed on the left of the game schedule, sits on the left bench facing the game clock, and wears light color uniform.
Visitor team sits on the right bench facing the game clock, and wears a dark color uniform.
1st technical foul assessed to a coach or player, the other team is awarded 2 points and receives the ball at point of interruption.
Teams are allowed 5 minutes before a forfeit. A team must have at least 4 players to start a game.
Center Court Clock Table:
Only the clock keeper and one scorekeeper per team allowed at the table.
HOME SCORER IS OFFICIAL SCORE • No additional books or personnel at the table.
*Slam Fest is a grade level tournament. Players play within their appropriate grade level unless they are a younger student. Birthdays after September 1st follow the AAU age requirement rules to play down. Birth certificate and rosters must be on hand during all tournament games!
* A player can play for multiple teams if the player is grade eligible for those divisions. However, players can only play for one team/division.
