2025 "LIT MILLY" CLASSIC RULES:
ALL TEAMS NEED TO ARRIVE 30 MIN PRIOR TO THEIR GAME
ALL TEAMS NEED TO SEE STEPHANIE MAGEE IN THE MAIN GYM TO CHECK IN BEFORE PLAY
- 3-min warm-up time before each game; 3-min break between each half; 1 min. break before each overtime period.
- Game Clock: 5th/11U thru 8TH /15U 14 MINUTE RUNNING CLOCK and HIGH SCHOOL 16 MINUTE RUNNING TIME CLOCK (EXCEPT LAST 2 MINUTES OF EACH HALF & free throws). The clock will not stop on free throws until the last 2 min of the half and game!!!!
- ***ABSOLUTELY NO FIGHTING!! CONTROL YOUR FANS/PARENTS****
- Fouls: Players will shoot 2 free throws on the 5th foul. The fouls will reset each quater.
- Timeouts: 4 TIMEOUTS PER GAME (2-30 sec & 2-full) one 30-second timeout during each overtime period.
- Coaches Must Sign to get coaches band.
- Teams are not allowed to have a scorekeeper at the scorer’s table.
- Ball Sizes: 28.5" (11U - 12U), 29.5" (13U-17U).
- 10-second backcourt violation.
- Technical fouls on coaches result in TWO POINTS and the ball for the opposing team. Two technical fouls results in a coach’s ejection from the game. Ejection from two games results in ejection for the tournament.
- Teams may play with four players when necessary (late player or foul outs).
- Overtime: there will be a 2-minute overtime period, followed by sudden death; jump ball to begin the O/T period and possession arrow determining possession in sudden death.
- Game clock will continue to run during the GAME when one team has a 20-point or greater lead. when the lead is back at 15 we will stop clock on free throws.
- Full Court Press: no full court press when leading by twenty or more points.
- Violations of Full Court Press rules will receive one warning, and subsequently a technical foul.
- All teams must arrive and check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled game time.
Conduct Unsportsmanlike conduct in any form will not be tolerated. Unsportsmanlike conduct includes: physical violence, verbal abuse, profanity, provocative behavior, "hard" intentional fouls, or other behavior (at the discretion of the officials on the floor). Abuse of officials by coaches, players or fans will not be tolerated. Officials have the sole discretion to call Technical Fouls when coaches, players, or fans exhibit Unsportsmanlike conduct. Any coach or player who is assessed two technical fouls shall be ejected from the game. Any coach or player ejected from two games shall be ejected from the remainder of the Tournament. Any coach or player ejected from a game for FIGHTING is automatically ejected from the remainder of the Tournament.
