D3 EliteTournament Rules and Details
Rules - High School Federation Rules, to include rebounding after free throw hits the rim. Free-throws taken after 10 fouls only or double bonus. GAME LENGTH: two 20 minute halves for 7th Grade and above. two 16 minute halves for 6th Grade and below. OVERTIME: If required, three (3) minute overtime period(s) will be played, with running clock for first two minutes; stop clock is in effect for final minute. Double overtime is decided by sudden death unless time allows otherwise. One time-out for every overtime period. 10-SECOND RULE: The 10-second back court rule is in effect. 5-SECOND RULE: The 5 second closely guarded rule is in effect. TIME-OUTS: Two 1-minute time-outs per half. Time-outs cannot be carried over. One 1-minute time-out for initial overtime period only. START TIME:Teams must be prepared to play at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
Protests - Coaches must file protests against suspected ineligible players prior to start of game. D3 staff only will handle protests. All coaches are expected to possess proof of eligibility for their players.
Code of Conduct - Coaches, Players, Parents and Spectators are expected to behave in a manner that is family and "kid" friendly.
Entry Fees - Daily Pass - $10.00 for adults and $5.00 kids ages 4-12. Coaches - Three coaches per team will be admitted free with Coach’s ID/stamp.
